SDG 17
Achieving the SDGs requires multi-stakeholder collaboration. Uganda works with diverse partners across government, development agencies, civil society, the private sector and academia.
Collaboration
The SDG Secretariat facilitates partnerships across five key stakeholder groups, each contributing uniquely to sustainable development.
Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and Local Governments lead sector-level implementation aligned with NDP III.
UN agencies, multilateral banks and bilateral donors provide technical and financial support for SDG programmes.
NGOs, community-based organisations and faith-based groups drive grassroots implementation and accountability.
Businesses and industry associations contribute innovation, investment and sustainable business practices towards the SDGs.
Universities and research institutions provide evidence, analysis and capacity building for informed SDG policymaking.
Young people and local communities are engaged as agents of change, driving innovation and social accountability.
